NPR’s All Tech Considered blog discusses the upcoming Supreme Court decision on Monday that may change the playing field for free speech online. At issue: “When is a seemingly threatening online message a crime?” The answer to this question next week will impact Justin Carter, a Texas gamer indicted for making “terroristic threats” in an online video game, shortly after the Sandy Hook shooting in 2013. Justin Carter is represented pro-bono by Goldstein, Goldstein & Hilley’s own attorney Don Flanary.
