Zoe Russell is an associate attorney with Flanary Law Firm in San Antonio, TX. She graduated Magna Cum Laude in May 2018 from St. Mary's University School of Law. While at St. Mary's, Zoe's comment, First They Came for the Child Pornographers: The FBI's International Search Warrant to Hack the Dark Web, was selected for publication in the St. Mary's Law Journal. She was also the President of the Criminal Law Association on campus.
She is the Assistant Executive Director, and current board member, for Republicans Against Marijuana Prohibition (RAMP), a group pushing for medical marijuana access and decriminalization of marijuana in Texas and beyond.
Before law school, Zoe graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelors in Economics. She previously worked as the Logistics Coordinator of Zilkha Biomass Energy in Houston, Texas, overseeing shipping operations that involved trucking, barge, rail, and deep water.
Zoe is passionate about politics and has participated in multiple Republican State Conventions. She is the current Republican precinct woman for Precinct 2045 in Bexar County. She and a team of friends ran Liberty on the Rocks Houston for two years, a political networking group that met every other week with a speaker on a range of topics, from lobbying for freer laws around raising chickens in the city to domestic surveillance during the Vietnam War.
