As reported by The Washington Post on February 13th, 2014, Attorney Don Flanary's teenage client faces a decade in prison for comments he made on Facebook, suggesting he would shoot children at an unnamed elementary school.

Justin Carter, of New Braunsfel, was arrested one year ago, jailed and charged with a terroristic threat after the Austin Police Department received an anonymous tip from a person living in Canada who viewed the comments online.

Comal County prosecutor Laura Bates and Comal County District Attorney Jennifer Tharp are pushing the charge, according to the opinion blog. However, the state does not have the entire comment thread to provide context.
