Zoe Russell is a law clerk at Flanary Law Firm in San Antonio, TX. She is also a second-year law student at St. Mary’s University School of Law where she has been named to The Dean's List each semester. She is the current Vice President of the Criminal Law Association on campus and is a staff writer on St. Mary’s Law Journal.
She is the former Assistant Executive Director, and current board member, for Republicans Against Marijuana Prohibition (RAMP), a group pushing for medical marijuana access and decriminalization of marijuana in Texas and beyond.
Before law school, Zoe graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelors in Economics. She previously worked as the Logistics Coordinator of Zilkha Biomass Energy in Houston, Texas, overseeing shipping operations that involved trucking, barge, rail, and deep water.
Zoe is passionate about politics and has participated in multiple Republican State Conventions. She and a team of friends ran Liberty on the Rocks Houston for two years, a political networking group that met every other week with a speaker on a range of topics, from lobbying for freer laws around raising chickens in the city to domestic surveillance during the Vietnam War. She is a current member of the Marianist Action Team Against the Death Penalty.
